Breakfast- This Saturday, July 4th from 8:00 to noon. Sponsored by Bowman’s Pharmasave. All welcome! The winner from last month’s 50/50 was Iris who shared in the $175 pot.
 
Backgammon- Starting Monday, July 6th from 10:00 to noon. A classic two-player game combining strategy and luck. Come learn or bring your skills. You must sign-up at the Centre – call or drop in.  Max 10 players.
 
Social Tea - Wednesday, July 8th from 1:30 to 3:00 pm. Music by Silver Stones. We’d love it if you could bring your favourite cookies and squares along with the recipe for a chance to win a prize. We’ll have Tea, Coffee and cold drinks. Please sign up so we’ll have an idea of numbers to set up for. All welcome! 
 
Service Canada Clinic – Wednesday, July 8th from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.  This is not a presentation but an opportunity to meet one-on-one with a Service Canada Specialist, Sylvie Cummings.  Ask your specific questions and/or get help with completing applications or renewing forms.  You must sign-up at the Centre – call or drop in.
 
SSSC Trivia Night- Friday, July 10th. Doors open at 6:00pm and “quizzing” starts at 6:30pm. There will be snacks.  Free and open to the public.
 
Scrabble Tournament- Saturday, July 11th at 1:00 pm. Cost $5. Minimum two (2) tables required. Call or sign-up at the Centre!
 
Upcoming Events:
 
Movie Matinee- Wednesday, July 15th at 1:30 pm. “Remarkably Bright Creatures” Through unlikely bonds formed during night shifts at a local aquarium, Tova, an elderly widow, learns of a life-changing discovery that may bring her joy and wonder once again.
 
Lunch around Freddy- Friday, July 17th at 11:30 am. Ivy’s Diner - 3696 NB-102, Island View. Please sign up by noon on July 16.
 
Information Session - Brain Health Program – July 22nd at 1:30 pm.  Presented by Colleen Hanna.
 
Info Sessions are free and open to the public, so bring your friends and neighbours!
 
Garrison Market on Thursdays, July 23 and August 27. We will be handing out brochures and other information as well as selling jam and biscuits. Members, we can use some volunteers to staff the table and don’t forget to drop by if you attend. 
Community Health:
 
Our Board of Directors asks you to please use the hand sanitizer available on entering the Centre.  Masks are available. If you are able to, please assist with the sanitizing of chairs and equipment used in your program. Together, let’s work to keep you and our Centre community healthy.

The Wagon Outreach thanks the members of Stepping Stone Senior Centre for their donations in the month of June. This effort will continue throughout July and August. Suggested donation items are listed on the box. 
 
Call for Used Jeans- Our quilt making member has used up all your earlier donations. If you would like to donate, please drop off at the Centre and we’ll see to the delivery. Thank you.

Join us for a fun and interactive Table Escape Room at Stepping Stone Senior Centre! Solve the mystery of the missing necklace and secret family recipe through teamwork, clues, memory games, and laughter. A cozy adventure filled with puzzles, storytelling,
connection, and exciting challenges awaits everyone!
Life-Sized Games – July 8 | 1:00 PM
It’s all about fun, laughter, and friendly competition! Enjoy a variety of larger-than-life games including Life-Sized Snakes and Ladders, Bowling, Connect Four, and more. Whether you’re rolling, tossing, connecting, or cheering others on, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. It’s a wonderful opportunity to stay active, challenge yourself, and spend time with friends in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
     
Crafts with the SSSC Craft Group – July 2 | 1:30 PM
 
Join the SSSC Craft Group for a fun and creative afternoon of decorating terracotta flower pots. Add your own personal touch with colourful designs, patterns, and artistic details while enjoying a relaxing and social atmosphere. Whether you are an experienced crafter or simply looking to try something new, this activity is a wonderful opportunity to express your creativity, connect with others, and create a beautiful flower pot to take home. Crafts with the SSSC Craft Group – July 9 | 1:30 PM
Join the SSSC Craft Group for a fun and creative afternoon of Yarn Canvas Art. Participants will use colourful yarn to create beautiful designs on canvas, transforming simple materials into unique works of art. Whether you choose to create a flower, an animal, a landscape, or an abstract design, this relaxing activity is a wonderful way to express your creativity while enjoying a social and welcoming atmosphere. No previous crafting experience is needed—just bring your imagination and enjoy creating a one-of-a-kind canvas artwork to proudly display or take home. All skill levels are welcome!
