Sunday, May 25th 2:00-4:00pm at the Fredericton Intercultural Centre- 28 Saunders Street (an accessible facility). Admission by donation. New Program- Urban Sketching- Presented by Rob Cook, who refers to himself as an Enthusiastic Sketcher. Interested members are invited to come to an Information Session on Wednesday, May 28th from 10:00 to 11:30am to learn what the program will include, supplies you will need, and meet other interested sketchers. No fee. This program will run one day per week for 4 weeks: June- 4,11,18, 25. A sign-up sheet is posted at the Centre. Yard Sale – Saturday, May 31st from 8:00am to Noon. Cash only! Rain or Shine. We’re accepting donations and booking tables! Tables for members are $10, non-members $20. If you can hang onto to your donations until Friday, May 30th we would appreciate it. Fredericton Seniors Woodworking Inc- 40th Anniversary Wood Working Showcase- Wednesday, May 28th 10:00am to 4:00pm. Fredericton Seniors Centre, 114 Johnston Ave. There will be lathe work, musical instruments, boxes, furniture, toys, cutting boards, games, pens, epoxy work carvings, etc. Plant Sale at Johnston Ave. Centre - Tuesday, June 3 from 6-8 pm. Adult Literacy Fredericton is looking for volunteers interested in becoming a tutor for our one-on-one free tutoring program. Free training provided. The program has expanded to include all eligible Canadian residents as of 2025. To be eligible for the CDCP, you need to: • Be a Canadian resident for tax purposes; • Have filed their taxes for the previous year and, • Not have access to private or employer/pension sponsored dental coverage. Eligible individuals need to apply for CDCP through the online application and re-apply every year. Individuals that are unable to apply using the internet are invited to apply by contacting the CDCP call center at 1-833-537-4342.
