There also will be our 50/50! Loneliness and Isolation Week is June 9th to 15th. In the spirit of encouraging people coming together, the Centre is offering an additional Coffee and Chat on Monday, June 9th from 10:00 to noon. You are welcome to bring a friend and drop by for some social time. This could also be a great introduction to the Centre for your friend or neighbour, while meeting new people. You may have questions about this designated week, and we’ll have answers for you. Hope to see you here. New Program- Urban Sketching- Wednesdays from 10:00 to 11:30am. Presented by Rob Cook, who refers to himself as an Enthusiastic Sketcher. Free. This program will run once a week on June 11th, 18th, 25th. . Maya Anderson is our summer student, and she will be with us until mid-August. She is working to put together an exciting calendar of programs and activities for you for the summer! Cost is $5. Sign up at the Centre. Two tables at least needed to go ahead. Upcoming Music 101 For Performers - Information Session on Tuesday, June 17th at 1:30pm. Whether you sing, play an instrument or just want to learn some fundamentals of music, these sessions could be for you. No previous music instruction is required, but even if you are a concert trained performer, you are welcome to come along and help us out. Sessions will include basic information and trying it out. Some listening, some hands on. Forum - Let’s Talk About Death and Dying! Wednesday, June 18th, from 3:00 – 4:00pm. Free and Open to the Public! As a society we have hidden the reality of this inevitable and monumental event. Through meaningful conversation, a peaceful and dignified journey to end of life is possible for the individual and their loved ones. One guarantee in life - we will all die. Need help with yard or house work, light construction or repair? Could you use some volunteer help during the week of July 7-11? SERVE is a five to seven-day initiative that sends high school-age students out to care for and restore their world. The groups consist of 4-5 youths and one adult supervisor. Fredericton’s Christian Reformed Church will be hosting SERVE this year.
