The pot was $214! This Week: Cryptic Crosswords Lite - clue: Make 50 go into 50/50! (5 letters, V _ _ _ _ ) Hint: The “make” is not a draw but a drive! Therefore, play with the numbers separately, by moving the Roman numeral for 50 into a doubling of the Roman numeral for 5 joined to a lookalike letter for 0. Come and learn step-by-step clue-solving skills at Cryptic Crosswords Lite, Tuesdays, 1:00-3:00 pm until August 27th. *Answer at the end of this Update. Salsa Dance Lessons –Remaining class of this session is Wednesday, August 14th at 6:00pm. Cost $5 per class. Wear sneakers. We will be renting tables and accepting donations for the Centre’s tables. There will be bake goods for sale. You may book your table by calling the Centre at 506-450-7849. There will be an opportunity to set up from 4:00 to 5:30 pm, on Friday evening (Aug 30th). Community News: Calling All Seniors in Fredericton! Are you living in an older home? Are you experiencing high energy bills? Are you worried about your home temperature during summer heatwaves and winter storms? The Conservation Council of New Brunswick wants to hear your story! We are looking for senior participants to share their experiences in a video interview about the impact of home energy affordability and efficiency. This is a unique opportunity to highlight how climate change, such as heat waves and harsh winters, affects your comfort and daily life at home. Jim Campbell Jazz Trio – Friday, August 16th, 7pm at York County Cider, 38 Main St., Fredericton. From the Library- The upcoming Story Time for Grown-Ups here at the library, will be starting at around 3:15 PM on 17 August 2024, and will run until around 4:30 PM. The reading will take place in the River Reading Room, which is on the second floor; there is an elevator, and there will be directional signage, as well.
