Scott’s Nursery Market, 2192 Route 102 Hwy, Lincoln.  This Saturday, September 27th from 10:00am – 3:00pm.  The Centre will have a booth at this market and we would appreciate members stopping by to say Hi!   
 
Movie Matinee- Saturday, September 27th at 2:00pm. Come from Away - a musical, with book, music, and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein. It is based on the events in Gander, Newfoundland the week following the September 11 attacks, when 38 planes, carrying approximately 7,000 passengers, were ordered to land unexpectedly at Gander International Airport.
 
Bentley Group - Starting Wednesday, October 1st, and every other Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:30am. A reading and discussion group for seniors.  This year’s theme: The Human Journey: Travel and Migration from the Ancients to the Present.  New members welcomed.  Sample our first session without obligation!  Free!
 
Breakfast – Saturday, October 4th from 8:00 – 11:00.  Only $10 for a full hot, freshly prepared meal including sausage, potatoes, eggs, pancakes, beans, biscuits, juice, tea and coffee.  Everyone is welcome!  Bring your friends and neighbours!!  The winner of the 50/50 draw last month was Darren!
 
Seniors Prom - In celebration of the International Day of Older Persons, Saturday, October 4th, 2-4pm at the Cultural Centre, 28 Saunders Street. Music by the Thomists. Refreshments will be served. There is no cost.  You can dress up or not, as you please.

Rowing for Fitness- Monday, October 6th at 11:30am and Friday, October 10th at 10:30am. Cost:  $120 for 10 weeks or $15 for drop in. Sign up at the centre.
 
Core Strength and Mobility- Tuesday, October 7th at 10:30am and Thursday October 9th at 11:45am.  Cost: $120 for one class for 10 weeks, $200 for both days, or $15 for drop in. Sign up at the centre.
 
Functional Mobility- Tuesday, October 7th at 11:30am and Thursday, October 9th at 10:30am.  Cost: $120 for one class for 10 weeks, $200 for both classes per week, or $15 for drop in. Sign up at the centre.
Learn to Row- Friday, October 9th at 11:30am.  Cost: $120 for 10 weeks or $15 for drop in. Sign up at the centre.

Fundraiser by the Elm City Echoes- Fredericton’s Ladies Barbershop A Cappella Chorus, are selling packages of Fancy Pokket bagels. The packages contain 6 large bagels, pre-sliced. Cost is $5 per package.  Flavours available: Plain, Chocolate Chip, Blueberry, Whole Wheat, Cinnamon Raisin, and Everything (garlic, onion, sesame seeds and poppy seeds).  Orders by Monday, Sept. 29 and delivery on Tuesday, October 21st. Our Community Health- Fall is here and many are looking for available Flu and Covid Vaccines. My Pharmacist tells me they will be starting to administer these vaccines after Thanksgiving. They weren’t taking appointments yet but I’ll be following up. I took the opportunity to inquire about Covid tests. I have one box of outdated tests and could I still use them? As long as the liquid is still just that, they could   still be used. Where are new Covid tests available? My pharmacy has a box of 4 at a cost of $21.99, no tax. That tells me other pharmacies have them as well. The Board of Directors asks you to use the hand sanitizer available on entering the Centre.  Should you wish, masks are available as well. If you are able, please assist with the sanitizing of chairs and equipment used  in your program.
