This workshop will discuss two common prescription drugs: opioids and benzodiazepines. What does problematic use of these prescription medications look like and how can you protect yourself and get the support you need. Presented by Dr. Janet Dukee-Lloyd, STU. St. Thomas Gerontology Students are Coming to the Stepping Stone Senior Centre on Wednesday, November 19th from 3:00 – 4:00 pm. The students in Dr. Janet Durkee-Lloyd's Gerontology seminar class want to have a conversation about what is important for you to have quality of life. Is it access to services, being heard by government or health care providers or access to affordable housing? The students really want to hear your voice. Please join us. Refreshments provided. Friends Campaign - Our appeal for financial support for the Centre is in full swing. This Campaign is a critical part of the Centre’s operating budget. The monies raised support the delivery of programs and activities for the members. There is no donation too small; however, tax receipts will be issued for an amount of $10 or more. Christmas is coming and we have the perfect gift for your friends and relatives 50 years old and over Membership Gift Certificates! For $25 you can give the gift of a full year of activities!
