Cost $10 for a full, hot breakfast!! At the July 6th breakfast the 50/50 pot climbed to $223, and the winner was Natalie. This Week: Cryptic Crosswords Lite - clue: Learn to Row lessons – or what’s needed for them! (11 letters, W _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ) Hint: Think of a compound word that could solve both sides of this equation. Come and learn step-by-step clue-solving skills at Cryptic Crosswords Lite, Tuesdays, 1:00-3:00 pm until August 27th . *Answer at the end of this Update. Salsa Dance Lessons –Remaining classes of this session Wednesday, Aug 7th and 14th at 6:00pm. Cost $5 per class. Wear sneakers. Community News: Calling All Seniors in Fredericton! Are you a senior citizen living in New Brunswick? Are you living in an older home? Are you experiencing high energy bills? Are you worried about your home temperature during summer heatwaves and winter storms? The Conservation Council of New Brunswick wants to hear your story! We are looking for senior participants to share their experiences in a video interview about the impact of home energy affordability and efficiency. This is a unique opportunity to highlight how climate change, such as heat waves and harsh winters, affects your comfort and daily life at home. Participant Criteria: 1. Age: Must be a senior citizen (65 years or older). 2. Residency: Must reside in New Brunswick. 3. Energy Affordability Concerns: Have experienced challenges with energy costs or maintaining a comfortable home temperature during heat waves and winters. 4. Willingness to Participate: Comfortable being interviewed on video and sharing your story. Why Participate? 1. Share Your Story: Your experiences can help raise awareness about the real-life impacts of climate change on seniors and inspire others to take steps toward energy efficiency and climate resilience. 2. Contribute to Change: Your voice can inform policymakers and contribute to better support for seniors facing these challenges.
