Facilitated Stephen Patterson. Alternate Wednesdays from 10 am-noon. September to May
This is a study and discussion group for seniors. They meet every other week for 2 hours to explore the big ideas of world civilization as found in literature, mythology, history, and music. Topics are chosen that challenge (the poetry of William Blake and Homer’s The Odyssey are examples from the past) but they also laugh and have fun while sharing viewpoints and stretch minds. No cost. |
Writing Groups 101 - Facilitated by Ricky Chilvers
Monday’s from 1:45 to 3:45 pm. A group of people who write in many genres, poetry, short stories, memoir and more. They share what they have written and act as editors, advisers, a support group for each other. New members are always welcome. No cost. |
Speakers from the community are invited to present on topics of interest to seniors. This is an opportunity for members to keep informed on services, expertise, products, and happenings that are available in their community and how to access them. Where we have 2 Universities in Fredericton, there have been presenters who are searching to make contact with seniors for the purpose of participating in research the results being focused on healthy living.
