Short Story Book Club - Every Monday from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm until August 11th. “The Tell-Tale Heart” By Edgar Allen Poe is the story for this Monday the 28th.
  
Music 101 for Performers – This Tuesday, July 29th  1:30 – 3:00 pm. This program is for the Centre’s performers or those interested in joining the group. Whether you sing, play an instrument, or just want to learn the fundamentals of music, these sessions could be for you. No previous music experience is required. Should you be a concert trained performer, you are most welcome to come along. Other sessions will be held on August 5th, 19th, and 26th.
 
TV Series Showing- Tuesday, July 29th at 2:00 pm. “A Man on the Inside” with Ted Danson and Lilah Richcreek. This is an 8-episode series, we had watched the first 4 episodes, this week we will watch the next 4 episodes. Based on a real-life story, Ted Danson plays a retiree-turned-amateur private investigator who goes undercover at a nursing home to investigate alleged crimes.
 
Urban Sketching- A few individuals have expressed interest in continuing the sketching sessions, if you would like to continue to go out to locations on Wednesdays at 10:00 am to sketch as a group, there is a sign-up sheet at the Centre you may call or drop by and add your name. Linda Hall has volunteered to head this up. This would not be an “instructed” group, just friends sketching together and learning from each other. 
 
Summer Games- Thursdays, from 10:00-11:00 am. The game(s) to be played will be decided that day by those who come to participate. This is not an instructed group, just drop in and join a group of friends who enjoy playing games such as Bocce Ball, Ladder Ball, Jumbo Connect 4, Bean Bag Toss, Bowling and more! There are instruction sheets available at the Centre for the game rules.
 
Arts and Crafts - In conjunction with the Creative Seniors Craft Group, Thursday’s, from 1:30 – 3:30 pm. “Felt Flower Making” will be on July 31st. Come join us and make some homemade flowers, perfect for decoration or a thoughtful gift! Sign up at the Centre or call to register so we know how many supplies are needed.
 
 
Attention Members! We are looking for a Ukulele teacher for the fall.  If you, or someone you know, is interested in discussing this wonderful opportunity, please let us know!

Breakfast- Saturday, August 2nd from 8:00 to 11:00am. Cost $10. Everyone welcome.
 
Bread Making at Greener Village- We are looking to keep the Bread Making going every other Monday, the next is on Aug 4th  from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. There is a sign-up sheet at the Centre or call to add your name to the list at 506-450-7849.
 
 
Movie Showing – Tuesday, August 5th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. “Barbie” with Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken. This film follows Ken and Barbie’s self-discovery journey as they adventure from Barbieland to the real world following Barbie’s existential crisis.
 
Morning Mix - Wednesday, August 6th, from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm. Nursing Home Without Walls - Shannex will be joining us here at the Centre for a fun morning filled with coffee, chat and games! Come and join us, there will be a large variety of board and card games, coffee and tea, as well as breakfast snacks. 
 
Save the Date – Senior’s Prom – Saturday, October 4th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Cultural Centre. The Thomists will be playing.
 
Community Notices
 
Mayor’s Ice Cream Social - The Mayor’s Ice Cream Social is happening on Sunday, August 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Wilmot Park, next to the splash pad. This community event will feature ice cream from Queen Street Creamery, live music by Don Bosse, lawn games, and more. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy a summer afternoon in the park.
 
Peer Drop-In Group - held every Wednesday at 2:00 pm at the Canadian Mental Health Association of NB Fredericton Office, located at 557 Saint Mary's Street. This is a welcoming space for anyone feeling lost or unsupported, offering a chance to connect, share, and receive support from peers. No registration is required—just drop in. Light snacks and coffee are provided, and the location is accessible by bus, with tickets available.

Suggestion Box - You will find our new Suggestion Box right at the front entrance. Do not miss the opportunity to give us your ideas!
