Suggestion Box:
The request for a Suggestion Box has been heard and you will find it right at the front entrance.  Do not miss the opportunity to give us your ideas!

Scrabble Tournament – This Saturday, July 12th at 1:00 pm. 
 
Short Story Book Club - Every Monday from 11:30-12:30 until August 11th.  “A Sound of Thunder” by Ray Bradbury is the story for this Monday, July 14th.
 
Urban Sketching- A few individuals have expressed interest in continuing the sketching sessions, if you would like to continue to go out to locations on Wednesdays at 10:00 am to sketch as a group, there is a sign-up sheet at the Centre you may call or drop by and add your name. Linda Hall has volunteered to head this up. This would not be an “instructed” group, just friends sketching together and learning from each other. Sessions will start on Wednesday, July 16th, at 10:00 am.
 
Summer Games- Thursdays, from 10:00-11:00am. The game(s) to be played will be decided that day by those who come to participate. This is not an instructed group, just drop in and join a group of friends who enjoy playing games such as Bocce Ball, Ladder Ball, Jumbo Connect 4, Bean Bag Toss, Bowling and more! There are instruction sheets available at the Centre for the game rules if you don’t know how to play.
 
Arts and Crafts - In conjunction with the Creative Seniors Group, Thursdays, from 1:30-3:30 pm. “Picture Frame Decorating” on July 17th.  Unleash your creativity in this fun and relaxing session! Whether you're adding sparkle, color, or a personal touch, you'll go home with a one-of-a-kind frame perfect for your favorite photo or as a thoughtful gift. All supplies provided - just bring your imagination! Sign up at the Centre or call to register so we know how many picture frames to have on hand.
 
Lunch around Freddy- Friday, July 18th at 11:30 am.  Pine Tree Pub- St. Mary’s Entertainment Centre- 185 Gabriel Dr, Fredericton. Sign up at the Centre before noon on July 17th .
 
Movie Showing- Tuesday, July 15th at 2:00 pm “Nonna’s”  with Vince Vaughn & Susan Sarandon.  Based on a true story of a restaurant in New York City that employs Italian grandmothers as chefs.
 
Attention Members! We are looking for a Ukulele teacher for the fall.  If you, or someone you know, is interested in discussing this wonderful opportunity, please let us know!
 
Upcoming:
 
Bread Making at Greener Village- We are looking to keep the Bread Making going every other Monday, the next is on on July 21st from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm. There is a sign-up sheet at the Centre. You may call 506-459-2388 or drop by and add your name to the list. If you need a drive, let us know. 
 
Music 101 for Performers – Music 101 for the Centre’s performers or those interested in joining the group. Whether you sing, play an instrument or just want to learn fundamentals of music, these sessions could be for you. No previous music experience is required. Should you be a concert trained performer, you are most welcome to come along. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays: July 22nd and 29th, and August 5th, 19th, and 26th, from 1:30 to 3:00 pm.
 
Movie Showing- Tuesday, July 22nd at 2:00 pm “A Man on the Inside” with Ted Danson and Lilah Richcreek.  Based on a real-life story, Ted Danson plays a retiree-turned-amateur private investigator who goes undercover at a nursing home to investigate alleged crimes.
 
Information Session - “Soaring To a New Height” presented by Sylvia Loomis. Discover the charm of puffins through the lens of a Hanwell-based photo artist who blends photography, painterly textures, and imagination. This engaging 30 to 45-minute presentation features a visual slideshow and stories behind a unique body of photo-based artwork inspired by a 2022 trip to Machias Seal Island. Learn about puffins, the creative process, and how a passion for digital art took flight - plus, enjoy a closer look at printed pieces shared during the session. The session will take place on Wednesday the 23rd, at 2:00 pm. Information Sessions are open to the public, we encourage you to bring along a friend!
