Presented by Dr. Kyle Brymer, Research Associate in Health with NBCC’s College Office of Research Enterprise. Upcoming The Blue Canoe is offering the Centre a percentage of the sales from their Charity Table for the month of March. When you arrive, you need to ask to sit at the Charity Table. The City of Fredericton is developing a new Recreation and Leisure Master Plan to guide services, programs, events, facilities, parks, open spaces, and other amenities for the next decade. NEW PROGRAM - Help With Technology First session Friday, February 2 from 1:30 to 3:30 (booked) You are invited to bring your tech challenges with your cell phone, iPad, etc., to the experts. A group of six IT students from NB Community College will gladly guide you through solutions. There is no cost for this program. To date we have Feb 9th booked as well as Feb 16th. More activities, same cost, $25 Forum - Wednesday, February 7th at 3:00 pm - Aging and Mental Health Presented by Emily Creamer, a Social Worker with Addictions and Mental Health, Fredericton, and will provide information on: - Mental Health Services in Fredericton - Make-up of the Senior Team - How to access services and the location for services. - Overview of how thoughts, feelings, health habits, relationships interests and goals relate to mental health and aging well. - There will be handouts available on the above topics. Learn about oil pastels with Peggy Holt! If you haven’ used oil pastels before, this six-week introduction is an amazing opportunity. Even those with experience using oil pastels are encouraged to take part and add to their skills! If you draw and paint already, you can learn to use pastels and add additional, multi-layered elements to your work. Take part in this relaxing and creative experience at the Fredericton Senior Center, 112 Johnston Ave, starting Monday, February 12, 1:30 to 3:00 pm.
