More activities and programs, same cost, $25. For the whole year!!! NEW PROGRAM - Help With Technology – Fridays - Free Students from NB Community College will guide you through solutions. We are currently booking for March 1st. We hope this program will run until the end of March with 6 members participating every Friday. Please call the centre to register. Your name will be added to the next available Friday, and you will be called to confirm. Annual General Meeting - Wednesday February 28th at 1:30pm. Information booklets are available for pickup. There are proposed changes to the By-laws. Every member is welcome in-person or by Zoom. Call for Nominations 2024 Elections will be held at the AGM on February 28 for the following positions: Secretary, Volunteer Committee Chair, and Program Committee Chair. The following members are nominated respectively: Kelli Henderson, Sandra Dewar, and Marie Lewis. Further nominations may come from the floor. Those elected will serve from 2024 to 2026. WORKSHOP - Understanding the Difference Between Cognitive Decline Observed During Normal Aging versus Decline Observed During Mild Cognitive Impairment. Wednesday, March 6 at 3:00 pm Presented by Dr. Kyle Brymer, Research Associate in Health with NBCC’s College Office of Research Enterprise. In Other News Food Bank Basket- We have a basket in the front lobby for non- perishable items. The contents will be delivered to the Food Bank as the basket is filled. Recycle Request- A member of the Centre makes quilts and aprons from jeans. If you have any clean old jeans you would be willing to donate, please drop them off at the Centre. Thank you. Jam Jars- We are looking for donations of 250 ml jars only. Drop them off at the Centre. Community News Let’s Talk Flooding - Thursday, Feb. 15 from 6:30 to 8:30pm A Community Gathering with an Expert Panel and Q&A- hosted by MLA David Coon at the Stepping Stone Senior Centre. SURVEY: City’s Recreation and Leisure Master Plan! You can take the survey at https://engagefredericton.ca/ The survey closes on February 26th. Happening at Johnston Ave – Meditation Workshop – Saturday, Feb. 17 or Saturday, April 20 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Free. Instructor: Linda Morehouse. Participants will sit on chairs during the workshop and no need for any other equipment. Refreshments will be served. To register please call 506-260-0605. Snow Day Policy When the schools are closed in the Fredericton region (Zone 6) due to weather. the Centre is closed for the day.
