Christmas at McAdam Station- Last Chance – Deadline to book is Tuesday November 7th- This excursion is through Pam Noble Tours on December 4, 2023. Cost per person is $130.00 including all taxes and gratuities. Includes a delicious turkey dinner, entertainment during the meal by the “Station Folks”, music by Bob Johnson, and ending with a Christmas sing-along. Pick up at 4:00pm from the Frex parking lot. Time is running short. If you are planning to gift yourself this magical experience, come in to the Centre and sign- up to ensure you have a seat. Movie Matinee- Thursday November 9th at 2:00- We will be showing “Charlie Wilson’s War.” Lunch around Freddy- Wednesday November 15th at 11:30am Pizza Delight Oromocto. Contact the Centre to Sign up by November 14th. Mind Body Fusion- This is a new Program starting Tuesday, November 21st at 11:30am for 4 weeks. Contact the Centre for more information and to sign up. Forum-Dementia Friendly Community Wednesday November 22nd at 3:00 (Originally scheduled for November 15th) The presentation will give introduction to dementia, how dementia impacts those living with the illness, how dementia impacts caregivers caring for someone with the illness, and how to build and foster dementia friendly communities. Presenter is Ben McLaughlin Raffle- We have this beautiful Lap Quilt “Stepping Stones” Tickets available $2.00 or 3/$5.00. Draw is at the December 2nd Breakfast. Friends of The Stepping Stone Senior Centre – The Centre’s annual appeal for financial support continues until the end of December. Income-tax deductible receipts available for any donation over $10. Gift Certificates are available to cover a membership for 2024. Gift a friend or family member! Volunteering! The Centre is always looking for members to volunteer. Without our volunteers we would not exist, let alone operate. Thank You to all our Volunteers. Community News Remembrance Day War Time Menu Luncheon On Saturday November 11 from noon to 1:30, Forest Hill United Church will be serving a luncheon with a war time menu of Baked Beans, Brown Bread and War Cake, Tea, Coffee or Juice. Eat in or Take-out. Libby and Brian Cassidy will be playing appropriate music during the meal. Adults are $12.00 and children $6.00.
