Raffle – Congratulations to Susan Wright for winning the Lap Quilt! The Centre  raised $457.00!! Thank you to the Centre’s Sewing Sisters: Carol, Carol Anne, Denise, Debbie, Elaine, Leanne, Marilyn, Mary Lou, and Gwenda and Eugene Mattinson. Thank you to all who supported this fundraiser.
 
Christmas Concert - Sunday, December 10 at 2:00 pm.  Everyone is welcome!
You are invited to the Stepping Stone Senior Centre Christmas Concert being held at the Cultural Centre (across the street from the Centre).  The event will feature performances by our own musical groups: String Along, Acoustic Jam, Ukulalians, Choir, and Troubadours. We may even have a visit from a special Santa’s Helper. Admittance will be by donation with proceeds going to the CBC’s Feed-a-Family campaign in support of the food banks. Bring along your family and friends.  Singing along will be encouraged!
 
Movie - A Muppet Family Christmas - Wednesday. December 13th at 2:00pm
 
Friends of The Stepping Stone Senior Centre – The Centre’s annual appeal for financial support continues until the end of December.  Income-tax deductible receipts are provided for any donation of $10 or more. The goal is $5,000 and we are hoping your donation will help us reach it. We are so thankful!!!
 
​Gift Certificates are now available to cover a membership for 2024.  This would make a wonderful gift for a friend or family member. You would be giving someone a year’s access to the Centre’s programs and activities and opportunities to socialize for only $25.

Fredericton Senior Centre (FSC) Festive Fun Holiday Cookie Social – Saturday, December 9.  Drop in between 1 and 4 pm and reminisce with friends, new and old, and share in the comfort of freshly baked goods and memories of holidays past.  FSC is located at 114 Johnston Ave.

Digital Storytelling with Older Adults: Do you have a story to tell? The Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Narrative at St. Thomas University is looking for participants for a digital storytelling project, which includes working with students to record and edit a short video story about your life.  If you are interested in participating or learning more, please contact Dr. Clive Baldwin at [email protected] or 506-452-9596. Reece Ronan, our Summer Student and Breakfast Volunteer is involved with this project.
