Scheduled for Tuesday, March 19 from 1:30 to 2:15 pm. You just need a telephone( cell or landline). The Topic will be The Dictionary of Flowers. Spring is coming and flowers are on our minds. We invite those interested in participating or know of someone who might like to connect with others and try it out. How does it work? 1. You call the Centre- 506-450-7849 or 506-668-0141. Leave your name and phone number by 4:00 pm on Monday, March 18. 2. You will receive a call back from Madeleine confirming your participation and to answer any questions you may have. We would love to have up to 10 participants to start. 3. Before the 1:30 pm start time of the program on Tuesday, you will be called and connected with the other participants. It is then your choice as to your level of participation. You may ask questions of the Facilitator, Lyne Ouellet, add your comments or just listen in and enjoy the meanings of Flowers. Our hope is to develop a monthly calendar to include time and day of the week as well as the topic. Help With Technology – Friday, March 22nd 10:30am is out last scheduled session. Calls are being made to confirm members to participate. The Centre will be discussing future similar opportunities to partner with New Brunswick Community College. Stay tuned! Lunch around Freddy- Wednesday March 20th at 11:30 am at Montana’s. Sign up by noon March 19. Movie- Wednesday March 20th at 2:30 - Jesus Christ Superstar. Introduction to Virtual Reality- Another session is scheduled for March 20th at 3:00pm. Presented by the students of NBCC. Community Volunteer Income Tax Program- Frist clinic is on Friday March 22nd from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Following clinics: Friday April 5 1:00 to 4:00 and Saturday April 13 10:00 to 2:00. Bridge Marathon- Saturday, March 23rd from 10:00 am to 3:00pm. Cost is $5 a person. Lunch will be provided. Sign up at the Centre. Forum-Wednesday March 27th at 3:00pm- Adults 65+ Doing Your Taxes Has it Benefits – Presented by Mark Lecointe-C.R.A Outreach Officer. The Blue Canoe is offering the Centre a percentage of the sales from their Charity Table for the month of March. When you arrive, you need to ask to sit at the Charity Table. They don’t sit you there automatically. This is an easy way to contribute to the Centre!!! Upcoming Breakfast- April 6th from 8-11am. Cost is $10 . All are welcome. There is the opportunity to play in the breakfast 50/50. Last winner pocketed $114. Jim Campbell Trio featuring Isaac Gould (17 year old Jazz Singer) Saturday April 6th at 2:00pm. Donations gratefully accepted. In Other News Food Bank Basket- We have a basket in the front lobby for non- perishable items. The contents will be delivered to the Food Bank as the basket is filled. Puzzles- The centre is looking for donations of puzzles for the sales table. Used Jeans- We are still collecting used jeans for a member who makes quilts and aprons. Jam Jars- Always looking for donations of 250 ml jars only. You may drop them off at the Centre. Thank you.
