World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) – June 15!
New e-learning course about how to recognize and protect against financial exploitation by Financial and Consumer Services Commission of New Brunswick (FCNB). Topics included: factors that increase vulnerability, scams and schemes targeting older New Brunswickers and red flags of financial exploitation. The course is free of charge. National Indigenous Peoples Day – Wednesday, June 21! Community Safety Services Unit – In response to concerns expressed by citizens about safety issues in our city, the City of Fredericton has created a pilot program Community Safety Services Unit These individuals in uniform will patrol our streets, our trail system, our downtown and the Main Street business district, seven days a week during the hours of 6 am – 1 am. The pilot will run from April to November.
